2019 Sangiovese Reserve

2019 Sangiovese Reserve: The grapes were harvested from Lahey Vineyards in the Texas High Plains. With a production of only 117 cases, this dry red was barrel aged for 22 months in a combination of 50% European Oak & 50% American Oak Barrels and then bottle aged for another 18 months. The result is a beautiful garnet color is a wonderful mix of delicate and savory flavors with aromas of black cherry, violets, and leather. This medium bodied red has rich flavors of red plum, strawberry, and tobacco carry through to a long, slightly tannic finish. 
This Sangiovese is very food-friendly and pairs especially well with rich Italian dishes including pizza.
