Dry White Blend

Our 2019 Welcome is our highest awarded wine to date. Only entered into two wine competitions, it was a Double Gold Winner (all 6 judges voted it a gold) at the 2021 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Wine Competition as well as Class Champion & Texas Class Champion! In the 2020 Lone Star International Wine Competition it was awarded a Grand Star (top 6 wines of the competition), Best in Category and Gold medals in both the Texas & International classes. 

Only 117 cases were produced of this delightful blend of Malvasia Bianca and Viognier from the Nogalero Estate Vineyard in the Texas High Plains AVA. This dry white has intense aromatics of white flowers, medium acidity with a clean crisp finish. 

We have enjoyed learning the history of Brown County. We have tried to reference Texas history in the naming of some of our wines. We thought it was important to add a name with local impact. Welcome Chandler, credited as the first settler in Brown County was also a farmer, county judge, postmaster, and store owner. Our goal with our tasting room has always been to create a welcoming place, so the name Welcome seemed very appropriate.
