This marks the 4th bottling of our Welcome blend, and the 2022 Welcome continues to shine as a delightful expression of Malvasia Bianca and Viognier.
Fermented in stainless steel for seven months, this wine saw the introduction of untoasted French oak chips during primary fermentation, adding subtle depth. On the nose, you'll find enchanting aromas of white flowers, nectarine, and peach. The palate delivers vibrant notes of grapefruit, orange blossom, and guava, culminating in a light-bodied blend with a crisp, clean finish.
The 2022 Welcome pairs wonderfully with barbecue, smoked cheeses, feta, Cajun chicken, Mediterranean or Asian cuisine, and fresh fruit salads.
This wine is named in honor of Welcome Chandler, the first settler in Brown County, who was also a farmer, county judge, postmaster, and store owner. With our tasting room, we aim to create a space that feels as welcoming as his legacy, making the name “Welcome” a perfect fit.
